Artist's Description

Picture taken of Tyneham Village, Dorset UK. This village was in an area taking over by the Ministry Of Defence in 1943 for training and the villages were enforced to leave. They were promised to return at the end of hostilities but in 1945 the MOD decided to keep it and the villagers were never allowed back. Today the area is still a training area but occasionally the roads are opened and you can visit the village. It is quite eerie there and very quiet. (When the military are not doing live firing of course)

About Richard Denyer

Richard Denyer

Hi, I am Richard, a photographer who just enjoys trying to take good quality "different" photographs. Originally from London, England leaving there in 1972 I have lived in various places in the UK but for the last 35 years I have lived in the Coastal Town of Herne Bay, Kent, UK - The Garden of England! As many of you know for many years I have been a Fine Art Photographer. I have now retired and whilst I am still pursuing my passion for photography and any work that I publish is available for sale through my Pixels website any profits from the sale of my work will from now on be equally divided between the following two UK charities - ALZHEIMERS RESEARCH and TOGETHER FOR SHORT LIVES Please consider a purchase if you like any of my work...
